Canton Drop Forge, a leading producer of large, closed die forgings in Canton, Ohio, is seeking a Process Improvement Manager to join our team.

Position Description:

The Process Improvement Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency, quality, and safety in a manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, production methods, and continuous improvement techniques.

Reports to the Manager – Plant Operations and will solicit consultation from members of technical and production groups; interacts directly with management and employees to develop and implement practices, initiatives, and solutions to meet production demands; work together with other members of the organization to collaborate on various projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Process Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Quality Support: Work with production and quality teams to maintain and enhance product quality standards.
• Data Analysis: Help collect and analyze production data for process monitoring and improvements.
• Safety Compliance: Support safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements:

• Education: College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related Manufacturing field.
• Experience: Experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Well-versed in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
• Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate process changes effectively.
• Continuous Improvement Knowledge: Previous training of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is required. Black Belt is preferred.
